Pizza Bingo

Pizza Bingo is an evening of Pizza, Bingo and Fun for all North Salem Elementary families!  Tickets for this event are purchased in advance to cover the cost of the Pizza.

Date: Friday, March 9, 2012 (Grades K-2) & Friday, March 16, 2012 (Grades 3-5)

We need volunteers for the following:

  • Set-up and break down
  • Meal Servers
  • Assist with Bingo Game and prizes
  • Clean up Crew

 Grandparents/Special Person Day

 

This committee coordinates the food and beverage for Grandparents/Special Friend Day.  They assist with checking in the visitors and helping them with questions or finding rooms.

Staff Appreciation Week

A week long event honoring the teachers and staff at North Salem Elementary.

The PTA makes Appreciation Baskets with items donated by families at North Salem.  Volunteers help assemble these beautiful thematic baskets which are later put in a raffle for all the teachers and staff.

Date: May 2, 2011 - May 9, 2012

We need volunteers for the following:
  • Collecting donated items for baskets
  • Asking local business for donations: baskets, ribbon, fillers/hay
  • Volunteers to help assemble baskets

WE WOULD LIKE A PARENT VOLUNTEER FROM EACH CLASS TO ASSEMBLE THE ITEMS DONATED BY THEIR CLASS. 

These volunteers will all meet for a “basket making party” to be held at the end of April

Spring Ice Cream Social

MAKE YOUR OWN SUNDAE!!!  The Ice Cream Social is a FUN event for the whole family.  Everyone in the family, even siblings not currently enrolled at North Salem, are encouraged to come!   All participants get to enjoy a buffet table of favorite ice creams and yummy sweet toppings.

Back to School Cookout

The Back-to-School Cookout Committee coordinates the annual cookout to welcome returning students, as well as our new Kindergarten and 1st Grade students.  This event includes the teacher “meet and greet”, hot dogs and goodies, music by a DJ, gift bag giveaways, the PTA information/membership table and LOTS OF FUN 

Date: August 2012 (Date TBA)

We need volunteers for the following:

  • Assisting chairperson to get donations for the food
  • Food servers for tables
  • Set-up and break-down of tables
  • Help set-up and volunteer at the PTA information/membership table
