Pasta Palooza

Pasta Palooza is an evening dinner held at North Salem Elementary.   Families purchase tickets for the event.  It includes a yummy Italian dinner, music and a great evening with family and friends.   All the monies earned at Pasta Palooza goes towards the “5th Grade Celebration” held in June.

    • Help chairperson get donations and purchase food for event
    • Set-up and breakdown
    • Meal servers

Harvestfest

The Harvestfest Committee coordinates the PTA’s fall party, Harvestfest.  This is a fun event for the whole family!  Activities include Hay Rides, Jumpie, Spin Art, Tattoos, Lolipop Tree, Halloween themed prizes, food and many other fun activities for the kids.

  • Setup/Break down
  • Working different activity stations, such as Hay Ride, Bounce House, Spin art, Tattoos, cookie walk, etc

Holiday Fair

The Holiday Fair committee coordinates a fun day of shopping for both the kids and the adults.  The kids get the opportunity to their own Holiday shopping for family members at the “Holiday Shop” set-up in the library.  Parents get to shop the many different vendor tables that will be set up in either the cafeteria or the gymnasium.

Vendor Tables for the adults:

We need VENDORS!!!!  If you or any one you know that would like to participate in the Holiday Fair, please let us know.  If you would like to make phone calls to get Vendors to participate, let us know.

Assisting with the marketing for this event; i.e. creating signage and flyers for the event to post around town, submitting article/ad to newspapers, etc.

We need volunteers for the following:

  • Set-up and Break down
  • Baking and working the Bake Sale Table

Movie Night

 

This committee coordinates a Movie Night for all grade levels.  Students at North Salem come dressed in their pajamas, bring a blanket/pillow and get to watch a movie with popcorn and treats. The kids love this night because they get to enjoy a movie with all of their school friends!!!!

Date: Friday December 9, 2011 (2nd night may be added)

We need volunteers for the following:

 

  • We have three fabulous chairpersons who arrange for the movie equipment, as well as coordinating with the Principal to choose an appropriate movie (based on grade level) for this evening.
  • Chaperones needed to assist with check-in/check-out process  and to help monitor the children during the movie.
  • Assist with snacks
